Ideal Application: DonJoy’s premier Custom OA product. It is designed for the active OA patient, is extremely lightweight, and provides durable support for moderate to severe levels of osteoarthritis. The bilateral hinge bars offer support for ligament instabilities and work in conjunction with a patented telescoping condyle pad, which puts the load control in the hands of the patient.
Ideal Application: The Unloader brand has become synonymous with OA knee bracing. Nine published, peer-reviewed clinical and biomechanical studies have proven the efficacy of the 3-Point Leverage System, which combines an Adjustable Dynamic Joint with a diagonal Dynamic Force Strap. This unique system is the most widely-used OA knee bracing technology in the world. Indications include mild to severe unicompartmental osteoarthritis, unicompartmental knee condtitions requiring articular cartlidge defect repair, meniscal cartilage repair, avascular necrosis or tibia plateau fracture, disproportionate thigh to calf girth, abnormal limb contour, thin sking, minimal muscle mass and/or mild cognitive deficiency. Suitable for the moderate to demanding activities of daily living.
Ideal Application: At only half the weight of the original Unloader, Unloader One combines a streamlined, flexible upright with Dual Dynamic Force Straps to generate more unloading leverage than any Unloader to date.
The patient can measure and adjust the amount of unloading needed using the unique ratcheting Dynamic Force Control system. Ossur has revolutionized brace comfort by implementing our proprietary Sensil® Silicone Technology on the liners.
